350 millions d’années séparent le cri fracassant d’un iguanodon, pris au piège dans les marécages, et les jeux d’un petit garçon à l’ombre du chevalement d’une cité minière. À l’aide du stéthoscope du médecin venu ausculter son grand père, le garçon va faire un voyage sonore et visuel qui le transportera dans le temps où les mines battaient leur plein, dans le fracas des haveuses, des marteaux-piqueurs et des couloirs oscillants.
