Arnaud Demuynck est réalisateur, scénariste et producteur spécialisé dans le court et moyen métrage d’animation (5 à 6 films produits par an en moyenne). Depuis L'Écluse, une courte fiction chorégraphique réalisée en 2000, il a écrit et réalisé de nombreux films d'animation parmi lesquels une trilogie chorégraphique avec Signes de vie (2004), À l’ombre du voile (2006), L’Évasion (2007), puis une trilogie poétique qu'il coréalise avec Christophe Gautry (La Vita Nuova, Le Concile lunatique et Un spectacle interrompu) et Mémoire Fossile, coréalisé avec Anne-Laure Totaro. Avec Sous un coin de ciel bleu, son écriture s'oriente davantage vers le jeune public, soit en adaptant des contes et ritournelles traditionnels (La Moufle, La Carotte géante, La Loi du plus fort, La galette court toujours), soit en portant à l'écran des livres pour la jeunesse (Compte les moutons, La chasse au Dragon, La Licorne, Un travail de fourmis (en cours de production)). Il est également l'auteur de trois scénarios originaux de 26 minutes : Le Parfum de la carotte (coréalisé avec Rémi Durin, plus de 170 000 entrées en salles), Le Vent dans les roseaux (coréalisé avec Nicolas Liguori), et Dame Saisons (coréalisé avec Célia Tisserant,) terminé en octobre 2020.

Arnaud Demuynck écrit et développe depuis 2017 son premier long métrage d’animation avec Rémi Durin, Yuku et la fleur de l’’Himalaya. Ce film entre en production au Printemps 2021.

Arnaud Demuynck is a film director, producer and scriptwriter specialised in short and medium-length animated films (and producing 5 to 6 films on average each year). Since The Lock, a short choreographic fiction film made in 2000, he has written and directed many animated films, including a choreographic trilogy made up of Signs of Life (2004), The Shadow of the Veil (2006) and Breakout (2007), followed by a poetic trilogy co-directed with Christophe Gautry (La Vita Nuova, The Lunatic Council and An Interrupted Spectacle)., and Fossil memory, codirected with Anne-Laure Totaro. With Under Blue Skies, he started writing films for younger audiences, either based on traditional stories and nursery rhymes (The Mitten, The Giant Carrot, The Laws of the Jungle, The Runaway Biscuit), or adapting kid's books to animation  (Counting Sheep, Dragon Hunt, The Unicorn, Un travail de fourmis (in production)). He is also the author of the original scripts of three 26 minute films: The Scent of Carrots (co-directed with Rémi Durin, and attracting over 170,000 viewers) and The Wind in the Reeds (co-directed with Nicolas Liguori), both of which have a strong focus on the musical content. . And Mother Seasons (co-directed with Célia Tisserant), finished in October 2020.

Since 2017 Arnaud Demuynck has written and developed his first full length animated film with Rémi Durin, Yuku and the Himalayan flower. Its production begins on Spring 2021.
